Uniforms & Spirit Wear

Our Lady of Peace School Uniforms are available through our official uniform company, Flynn & O'Hara. Families may visit the Flynn & O'Hara website below to view uniform options and place orders or may visit the store in Plainview, NY.

Dress and Appearance

All students are expected to have a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance. The school reserves the right to reject unsuitable modes of appearance and to remove a student from class if he or she is not in uniform. It is the parents' responsibility to correct any of the following problems. Students will receive a demerit after one warning is given.

• Girls' skirts must touch the top of the knee.
• Uniform socks must be worn. No trendy sport socks are permitted. Socks must cover the ankles.
• Boys must wear the school sweaters from October 15th through May 1st.
• Current fads in hairstyles are not acceptable for girls or boys. Boys' hair must be above the top of the collar.
• Hair must be its natural color and cannot be dyed.
• Make-up is not permitted. If make-up is worn, the student will be asked to remove it.
• Trendy jewelry and multiple bracelets are not acceptable.
• Girls may not wear dangling earrings, large hoops, multiple earrings, or earrings above the lower lobe.
• Boys may not wear earrings. Any other body piercing by girls or boys is not permitted.
• Nail polish must be limited to clear or light pink.

Uniform Regulations

Girls - Grades 6, 7, and 8

• Blue plaid uniform skirt or kilt must be knee-length.
• Navy slacks may be worn instead of the skirt or kilt.
• White Oxford blouse with a button-down collar.
• Navy blue vest.
• Navy cardigan sweater with white stripes. Please make sure your child's name is in it.
• Navy blue knee socks.
• Uniform shoes are required: black penny loafers or Mary Jane type shoes.

Girls - Grades K-5

• Blue plaid uniform jumper, knee-length.
• Grades K-1: drop waist jumper.
• Grades 2-5: split front jumper.
• Navy slacks may be worn.
• White blouse with rounded collar.
• Grades 2-5: plaid tie.
• Navy blue knee socks.
• Uniform shoes are required: black penny loafers or Mary Jane type shoes.
• Navy blue cardigan sweater with school emblem. Please make sure your child's name is in it.

Boys - Grades 6, 7, and 8

• Navy blue uniform slacks and belt.
• White Oxford button-down collared shirt.
• Striped uniform tie.
• Solid navy or solid white crew socks.
• Uniform shoes are required: black tie shoes or penny loafers.
• Navy cardigan sweater with white stripes. Please make sure your child's name is in it.

Boys - Grades K-5

• Navy blue uniform slacks. Grades K-1 should have elastic waist, not zipper.
• Grades 2-5: white shirt with striped uniform tie.
• Grades K-1: white polo shirt with school logo, short or long sleeve.
• Solid navy or solid white crew socks.
• Uniform shoes are required: black tie shoes or penny loafers.
• Navy blue cardigan sweater with school emblem. Please make sure your child's name is in it.

Nursery and Pre-K - Girls and Boys

• Navy blue uniform shorts with school silkscreen.
• Navy blue uniform T-shirt, short sleeve or long sleeve.
• Navy blue sweatshirt with school silkscreen.
• Navy blue sweatpants with school silkscreen.
• White or navy crew socks.
• White or black sneakers.

Summer Uniform

The summer uniform is optional and may be worn in the Fall & Spring when designated by the school.

• Girls may wear a navy uniform skort.
• Boys and girls may wear walking shorts.
• White three-button shirt with school name.
• Grades 6, 7, and 8 may wear the three-button shirt with uniform slacks, skirt, shorts, or skort.
• Solid white or navy crew socks.
